๐ŸŽฎ GAME GENIE: CHEAT CODES ACTIVATED

Week 1 is officially in the books, and apparently Game Genie entered the cheat code before kickoff.

Doni's squad dropped 206.5 points on The Foot Clan, sending Nick straight to 0-1 despite putting up a perfectly respectable 175 points.

Unfortunately, "respectable" doesn't mean much when the guy across from you is apparently playing fantasy football with unlimited health, infinite ammo, and all characters unlocked.

โ€œFINISH HIM.โ€

And somehow Game Genie did all of this while getting just 5.4 points from Bo Nix and 2 points from Brandon Aubrey.

Bo Nix basically showed up, clocked in, drank some Gatorade, and left.

It did not matter.

๐Ÿคฆ AND THEN THERE'S GAME GENIE'S BENCH...

The most disrespectful part? Doni didn't even optimize his lineup.

David Montgomery: 28.9 points โ€” ON THE BENCH.
Jalen Coker: 33.8 points โ€” ALSO ON THE BENCH.

Game Genie left 62.7 points sitting on the sideline and STILL scored 206.5.

That's not roster management.

That's showing up to a street race in a Lamborghini and mentioning afterward that you forgot to take it out of Eco Mode.

The rest of the league should probably be concerned.

๐Ÿฅท THE FOOT CLAN: GOOD SCORE, TERRIBLE TIMING

Nick's Foot Clan didn't actually play badly.

In most weeks, 175 points keeps you competitive.

This week?

It got you a complimentary ride to 7th place.

The problem was nobody really exploded outside of Amon-Ra.

The Foot Clan brought knives.
Game Genie brought a tank.

๐Ÿฅš DANIELLE HUNTER'S CONTRIBUTION

Special recognition goes to Danielle Hunter, who delivered a spectacular:

0.0 POINTS

Zero. Nothing. Not a tackle. Not a sack. Not even a strongly worded letter to the opposing quarterback.

Hunter essentially bought a ticket, watched the game, and somehow found his way into Nick's starting lineup.

๐Ÿ˜ญ NICK'S BENCH WOULD LIKE A WORD

Of course, fantasy football wouldn't be fantasy football without checking the bench afterward and immediately becoming angry.

Meanwhile, Dallas Goedert's 23.7 points were sitting comfortably on the bench while Sam LaPorta scored 9.8.

That's a 13.9-point swing.

Would it have changed the outcome? No.

Would Nick still stare at it for several minutes wondering what could have been? Absolutely.

That's fantasy football.

๐Ÿ† PLAYER OF THE MATCHUP

Chris Olave โ€” 28.2 points

Olave gets the winning-team spotlight after dropping 28.2 points for Game Genie.

Although if we're including benches, Jalen Coker's 33.8-point explosion while holding a clipboard deserves its own trophy.

The โ€œYOU STARTED WHO INSTEAD OF ME?โ€ Award

๐Ÿคก WEEK 1 BENCH MANAGEMENT AWARD

Game Genie

Doni scored 206.5 while leaving David Montgomery (28.9) and Jalen Coker (33.8) on the bench.

That's the fantasy equivalent of winning a poker hand and then revealing you accidentally had another royal flush in your pocket.

๐Ÿ’€ TOUGH LUCK AWARD

The Foot Clan

Nick scored 175 points and still lost by 31.5 points.

There are teams that will win games this season scoring significantly less than that.

Fantasy football doesn't care.

โ€œWelcome to Week 1. Your opponent has 200.โ€

๐Ÿ“Š FINAL VERDICT

๐ŸŽฎ Game Genie โ€” 206.5
๐Ÿฅท The Foot Clan โ€” 175.0

Margin of Victory: 31.5 points

Game Genie moves to 1-0 and 1st place, immediately establishing itself as the team everyone is going to start checking before Sunday kickoff.

Meanwhile, The Foot Clan falls to 0-1 and 7th, but there's no reason to panic yet. A 175-point offense can win plenty of matchups.

Just preferably ones where the opponent doesn't score 206.5.

Game Genie didn't just win Week 1.

They entered the Konami Code, unlocked God Mode, left 62 points on the bench for fun, and still walked away with the league's top spot.

Nick gets the traditional fantasy football consolation prize:

โ€œYour team actually played pretty well.โ€

Which, as every fantasy manager knows, makes losing feel approximately 0% better. ๐Ÿ˜‚
